Nearest major route: A1 between Newark on Trent and Doncaster.

Directions from A1 (Follow signs to Clumber Park)

  1. At the A1/A614/A57 roundabout turn down the A614 and follow for about ¼ mile.
  2. Turn right, through the gatehouse and into Clumber Park (all well signposted).
  3. From the gatehouse, follow the road for about 2 miles to the END of the avenue of lime trees.
  4. Turn left at the crossroads (towards the lake and shop).
  5. Take the second left (opposite the wooden bus shelter) Signed Bunkhouse or Basecamp..
  6. Follow this road round bearing right at the fork in the road. Signed Bunkhouse or Basecamp.
  7. Turn left down a dirt track between two large trees. Signed Bunkhouse or Basecamp.
  8. The basecamp is down this short track on the LEFT.

Directions from M1 (Note this entrance to Park likely to be shut at dusk)

  1. Exit M1 at Junc 30 and follow A619 to Worksop.
  2. On outskirt of Worksop turn Right onto A57.
  3. Turn right onto B6034 (Signed Clumber Park).
  4. After about ½ mile turn left, and continue though ticket gate into Park.
  5. At crossroads continue straight on and follow as 5) above.

The accommodation is situated in the converted gardener’s cottage on the edge of the walled garden, in the beautiful and expansive green Clumber Park Estate. The bunkhouse has four dormitories with beds (no bunks), to accommodate up to 12 people, and all of the facilities you’d expect of a modern bunkhouse. Downstairs there is a kitchen/dining room and an annexe living room.
